a love letter to myself

the love of my life is insecure, yet i learned to love her that way. she’s anxious, yet i’ve come to understand that. she loves to do everything paying attention to each detail and in all she does she puts her heart into it and i think that’s beautiful. im learning to love every part of her each day. and babe, i’m sorry it took me this long to realize the sunlight that exhales through your smile (sim, o brilho que exala de teu sorriso). i’m sorry i haven’t hugged you in your hardest nights, i’m sorry i looked for home and wouldn’t find you. i’m sorry for all the sorrys* and all the bad moments. i’m sorry for not having the patience to reach you. i’m sorry for not loving you the way you deserve to.
